Global Leaders Centre - May 24-26, 2007

From May 24-26, a Global Leaders Centre (GLC) will be held at Memorial University in St. John’s.  This event is open to participants between the ages of 16-25, offering the opportunity to:

- Gain skills you need to make a difference

- Challenge your leadership skills

- Build an understanding of global issues

- Jump start your entrepreneurial spirit

- Enhance your network

- Plot your career path

- Make your mark on the world

The GLC will also qualify participants to apply to become a Global Youth Ambassador and explore another part of the world by representing Canada on a Junior Team Canada Economic Mission.  A $25 registration fee covers all meals, lodging and transportation (conditional) to and from the centre.  Learn more and register by visiting http://www.gvconnects.com/index.htm

The Canada/Newfoundland and Labrador Business Service Centre's Guest Advisor Program provides the entrepreneur or small business an opportunity to connect with financial representatives, management consultants, lawyers, accountants, experts on trademarks/copyrights/patents and e-commerce advisors -  all who volunteer their time to discuss your business concerns.

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

 

Bootlegger Generation B Scholarship for Life Contest

It’s a 2 part contest, beginning May 17, with a grand prize of $10,000 cash to invest in the winner’s passion. A total of 76 finalists (from all across Canada) will be flown to Vancouver in July to participate in a photoshoot.  The pictures and a bio of the finalist will appear in each of their local Bootlegger stores and online at www.bootlegger.com in September.  The candidate that receives the most votes online by the end of the contest period (Sept. 15) will receive the $10,000 prize.  Applications accepted between May 17 - June 15, 2007 - email acain@bootlegger.ca to request an application package or click here for more info.
